MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

 Are you interested in Motorcycle Inspection and Care for YOUR motorcycle?

Classes are forming for a Motorcycle Inspection and Care Program.

  

Classroom discussions identify a basic procedure to inspect the motorcycle. 

Based on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s T-CLOCS Inspection, this 4 hour program walks you through the basic inspection of a typical motorcycle.

 

Tires & Wheels

Inspect and “read” the tires and wheels

Controls

Levers, Cables, Hoses & Throttle

Lights & Electrics

            Battery, Lenses, Reflectors, Wiring & Headlamp(s)

Oil & Fluids

            Levels & Leaks of Engine & Gear Oil, Fuel, Coolant & Hydraulic Fluid

Chassis

            Frame,  Suspension, Chain / Belts / Shaft, Fasteners

Stands

            Sidestand & Centerstand

 

Preparation for and Removal from storage

 

Utilizing the “learn by doing” concepts of Adult Learning principles in small work groups, you will learn how to: 

 

T – Check & adjust air pressure

C – Replace a lever and cable

L – Battery maintenance, replace a light bulb

O – Change oil & filter

C – Check and adjust drive chain and shock absorbers

S – Check and verify operation of sidestand
